Maria is born in 1992 in Oslo, Norway to a Russian mother and a Norwegian father. She started playing piano and singing at the age of 7 and has since then had a love for music, as well as acting. Maria moved to New York City at the age of 8, where she lived for one year together with her mother, before moving back to Norway. When she was 11 years old she enrolled in one of Europes most prestigious music schools, Moscow Central Music School, where she studied classical piano for two years. After coming back to Norway, she started her own theatre company at the age of 17, and since then been active as an actress in film and TV, as well as theatre productions.
She landed her first professional role in the hit TV-series Lilyhammer, and has since then been working as a freelance actor, as well as a musician. Her biggest part yet was the lead role of Sol in the indie-feature “Forever and Never” which premiered at Bergen International Film Festival in the fall of 2018.
